This project was developed from the need for a custom branded mechanics creeper for the Harley-Davidson brand. The client was an avid rider and wanted to have a special product that reflects the values of H-D but also their loyal customers. Initially we started with a typical “circle seat” creeper unit and offered it with special seat materials and branding choices. Not feeling happy with that solution, I pushed myself (and the client) to offer a design solution that was more tailored to what an actual motorcycle seat would look like. Using this as a base, I constructed a trike like configuration and finished it off with a bold H-D logo in the tool area. The finished product is a piece that any Harley rider would love to have in their garage.
GATCO is a prominent bay area designer and manufacturer of “Fashion Bathware.” While at GATCO I applied the design process into a wide range of products from faucets to shower sets and towel bars. While not the most exciting of products I challenged myself to create beautiful products using fluid lines and great proportion and killer presentations.
